Confession time! I’m sure a lot of you always see me organizing fundraising events, but to be honest, I’m one of the most stingy people you’ll ever know. HAHA
I’m really good at saving money if I want to buy something for myself; my mom raised us that way (thanks mom!). But when it comes to giving my own money to treat someone or buy something for someone, I always hesitate. I always budget everything. That’s not bad din naman. Right? Haha
A few weeks ago I told you about how God taught me not to be selfish on my birthday. (see previous post)
God taught me how to be intentional
when it comes to investing.
So I reminded myself how important it is to invest in relationships that matter. For me, one of them is the Life Group that I handle.
Never have I ever spent a significant amount of my own money for other people. I had to REALLY save up for this staycation! It was a breakthrough for me. *hides
Maybe maliit lang ito for other people but I’m sharing this because I learned a lot! Lessons that can make your gastos worth it! ♥️
Take-aways:
1. Invest in relationships that matter. Be intentional. No matter how small or big you think your investments are – just do it! Give something!
2. Acknowledge your weaknesses, sit down, and plan ways how you can overcome it.
3. Love your neighbor as you would to yourself.
“Love the Lord your God with all your heartand with all your soul
and with all your mind and with all your strength.’
The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
There is no commandment greater than these.”
Mark 12:30-31
