Overcoming Negativity

Life’s reality. The moment we wake up, negativity awaits us, ready to attack and corrupt our poor hearts and minds. Once it happens, we complain about every single thing.
It truly is a challenge to ignore anything that has the potential to pull us down, discourage us, irritate us, and stress us out. But, as I read my daily devotional this yesterday, God gave me solutions on how to overcome negativity and stop it from consuming my whole being. He reminded me how powerful His Word is.

How To Push That Negativity Away 3

God allowed me to realize that believing and claiming His word is a REALLY EFFECTIVE method! Today, He brought me back to a chapter that I’m sure everyone is familiar with, and that is Psalm 23. Now, if you feel the “negativity” starting to creep up, I want you to make each verse your prayer. (and let it fit depending on what you’re going through) Ready?

Whenever you feel WORRIED about anything, claim these verses:

Verses 1-2 – “The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters.”

Whenever you feel LOST, claim this verse:

Verse 3 – “He restores my soul. He guides me in the paths of righteousness.”

Whenever we are under TRIALS or PROBLEMS, claim this verse:

Verse 4 – “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.”

Whenever you feel DOWN and you feel like YOU HAVE NOTHING, claim this verse:

Verse 5 – “You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil; my cups runs over.”

When all you feel is NEGATIVITY, claim this verse:

Verse 6 – “Surely goodness and love will follow me, all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”

It’s simple as that! It worked for me, I guarantee it will for you.

How about you? How do you fight negativity?
