Empower. Growth.
These are two words that always stay in my mind, words that help me push myself beyond my comfort zone.
I can’t remember how or when it started, but I always had this strong desire to open up opportunities for other people to be a blessing, and be blessed in return.
Maybe because for almost 5 years, I thought that my heart to give wasn’t enough if my financial capacity couldn’t move my surroundings — or at least feed one child in our feeding outreaches. But I was wrong!
I started organizing workshops for a cause. It helped me raise funds for Joseph Feeding Mission’s (JFM) beneficiaries. Yay for that! I’ve been doing it for almost 3 years now through Share Movement, but “empower” and “growth” keep hunting me. Everytime I accomplish my goals, these words come back and remind me that it’s not the end. PUSH! Haha!
I believe that we should ALWAYS have this mindset. It will help us get our acts together and keep growing, for our sake, and for the sake of other people as well!
With that said, I prayed and wondered: what else could I do?
“Sometimes you have to help yourself
get to a place where you can bless others
with your best thinking and effort.”
I soon realized that we have a lot of talented contributors who wanted to do something for a cause, but were too shy to be one of our workshop speakers. After months of planning, brainstorming, studying, praying and a lot more, I finally did something beyond my expertise – selling products! :))
In an effort to sustain this cause, I launched Shop and Share with the hope that it will help Share Movement save funds. (Yes, we have expenses too!) and give more to JFM.These are some of our contributors who dedicated their time to produce sticker layouts that we can sell.

And yay! It’s available now! I love how our contributors worked together to sell these lovely stickers. (One of my contributors, sold dozens of sticker packs in Ateneo Trade, some blogged about it, or even volunteered to sell it on a bazaar!) — And soon, it will be available in Common Room (Katipunan)!!!
I’m delighted to know that my desire to help JFM and Share Movement empowered our talented contributors to do something great, fun and meaningful!

Thank you Jam for being an inspiration to all of us. <3
Thanks for sharing your talent. <3
Such an inspiring post! I love to do crafts and your post has got me thinking on how I can craft with purpose and service in mind. I guess I’ve been “empowered” to go beyond the superficial reasons of crafting. Thank you for this.
I’m delighted to know that it’s raising awareness. Maybe you can join us soon? Let’s keep thinking of ways and act on it little by little. I believe in you. Thanks, Rae! <3
Bless your heart for being so proactive and giving. I’m always in Katipunan and will definitely check out Common Room to support.
Hi Pia! Shop and Share stickers are now available in Common Room! Thank you in advance for your support.
Share Movement is really a good initiative and the Shop and Share is a good innovation on your side. I’ve always wanted to do something for a cause but I don’t have an expertise to be a workshop speaker nor creative enough to contribute something but maybe I’ll try to find a way on how to use my blessings to bless others. Just like what you do. I’m far away from the Philippines now but I always think about our kababayans. I’m thinking now that maybe that’s the “one thing” that’s missing in my life: helping others. I maybe experiencing growth in different aspects of my life but empowering others? I haven’t done that in a long time. Dito talaga nag-reflect hahaha. Keep up the good work on your projects. I hope someday somehow I can help.
Hi Glaiza! I always feel the same way! If there’s a will there’s a way. It’s scary and overwhelming at times, but we just have to act on it and back it up with prayers. You can never go wrong with helping others. (Even if you’re far, you can help us promote our cause!) We can do a lot. I’m just here if you need anything. Thanks for this encouraging note, you’re always welcome to reflect with me. Haha!
What a great initiative! So inspiring! I will check out Share Movement and Shop and Share
Thank you, Joey! We hope to see you on one of our workshops.
